Experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator / Dental Assistant
Location: Mount Prospect, IL
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: $20–$28+ per hour (based on experience and performance)
(Higher starting pay available for strong candidates with proven experience)

Minimum 1 year of dental treatment coordinating experience REQUIRED (this is not an entry-level position).

We are a growing dental practice seeking an experienced, reliable, and patient-focused Treatment Coordinator / Dental Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently support both clinical and front office duties—including handling patient concerns with professionalism and care.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, adaptable, and a strong communicator who enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Present and explain treatment plans clearly and confidently
• Coordinate patient care and scheduling for maximum efficiency
• Handle patient concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism
• Assist chairside using 4-handed dentistry techniques
• Take and process digital X-rays
• Verify insurance and discuss financial arrangements
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Support front desk duties as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting and/or treatment coordinator experience (required)
• Strong knowledge of:
• Dental instruments
• Dental terminology
• Digital X-rays
• Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc. preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, easy-going, and a team player
• Ability to handle difficult conversations calmly and professionally
• Must have a flexible schedule

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9 AM – 6:30 PM (approx.)
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Every other Saturday: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• More hours available upon request.

Must be available to work the above schedule.
