Experienced Tree Climber

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Experienced Tree Climber to join our dynamic tree care and landscape maintenance team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely climbing and pruning trees, performing rigging operations, and supporting various landscaping projects. Your expertise will help ensure the health and safety of trees while enhancing the beauty and safety of outdoor spaces. Responsibilities

• Safely ascend trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and harnesses to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches efficiently and securely
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, shaping, and health assessments to promote growth and safety
• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general site cleanup to support overall project goals
• Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and health status
• Collaborate with team members on rigging setups for large or hazardous tree removals
• Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and wearing appropriate PPE at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in tree climbing, pruning, or arboriculture with growing knowledge of horticulture practices
• Strong understanding of rigging techniques for safe tree removal or limb lowering
• Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other landscaping equipment safely and effectively
• Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or site documentation is a plus
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance including lawn care, planting, and general horticultural practices
• Prior experience working with landscaping tools such as trimmers, blowers, or hedge cutters preferred
• Valid certification in tree care or horticulture is advantageous; relevant certifications in bucket operation or rigging are a plus

Pay: $26.44 - $31.85 per hour
