Experienced Veterinary Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking an experienced, professional and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This is a key client-facing role within our clinic, requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail and prior experience in a veterinary environment.

Duties

  • Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs with efficiency and friendliness
  • Managing appointment scheduling and maintaining accurate records
  • Handling phone and email inquiries efficiently
  • Processing payments and maintaining billing records
  • Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding pet care instructions, follow-up appointments, and treatment plans
  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area
  • Assist with clinic cleaning duties

Experience

  • Proven experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar animal care administrative role
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal handling techniques including dog handling, animal restraint, and general pet care practices
  • Strong understanding of veterinary terminology
  • Prior exposure to animal husbandry, laboratory work related to veterinary medicine, or animal anatomy knowledge will be highly valued

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Avimark veterinary practice management software
