Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Vintage British Auto Technician who thrives on working with classic and rare European automobiles. This role offers the opportunity to apply your extensive mechanical expertise, diagnostic skills, and love for vintage vehicles to maintain, repair, and restore iconic British cars. Your hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and precision alignment will ensure our clients’ vehicles perform at their best.
Duties
- Replace Brake and Clutch Cylinders as Well as Brake Servos
- Diagnose Brake and Clutch Issues and Repair
- Replace/Adjust Hand Brake Cables - Disc and Drum Brakes
- Properly Adjust Drum Brakes
- Custom Bend, Flare, and Install Brake and Clutch Lines
- Replace Tapered Roller Bearings and Races and Adjust Pre-Load
- Replace Wheel Hubs and Bearings
- Replace/Rebuild Upper and Lower Ball Joints
- Replace Control Arm Bushings (Upper and Lower)
- Replace Sway Bar Bushings and Links
- Adjust Ride Height (Torsion Bars - Front)
- Adjust Ride Height (Springs and Shims - Rear)
- Alignment Experience Necessary
- Replace Various Fuel System Parts; i.e. Fuel Tanks, Senders, Lines, Hoses, and Pumps
- Experience with SU And Zenith Carbs
- Ability to Identify Various Leaks Properly; Engine, Transmission, Differential, etc.
- Exhaust System Replacement and Fitting
- Replace Exhaust Manifold Studs, Without Breaking or Damaging Manifolds
- Electrical Diagnosis - 12V Systems with Aid of Proper Wiring Diagrams, and Repair
- Experience with Standard Ignition Systems; i.e. Ignition points and condensers, as well as converting to electronic ignition - Both Negative and Positive Earth Systems
- Replace Differential Pinion Seals, Side Axle Seals Bearings, as well as Rear Cover Gaskets
- Replace U-Joints on Axle Shafts as well as Drive Shafts
- Service Cooling Systems - Diagnose Overheating Issues as well as Leaks and Flushing
- A/C Service - Experience with R-12 Conversions to 134A - Understanding Pressures, Functions, and Able to Accurately Find and Repair Leaks

Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working on vintage vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical systems specific to vintage British cars.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, power tools safety practices, and automotive service equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge of the powertrain system along with general automotive electrical systems expertise.
- Ability to read technical manuals accurately and follow detailed repair procedures.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
