Experienced Waiter

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a welcoming attitude
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure overall guest satisfaction through excellent customer service
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain smooth operations

Experience

• Proven experience as a waiter in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining or nightclub exposure
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive guest relations in diverse settings
• Experience with food preparation, serving techniques, and basic math for cash handling and order calculations
• Prior host/hostess or food industry experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
