Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PART TIME EXPERIENCED Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations across various projects, ensuring all work meets stringent quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of complex metal fabrication tasks, including working with sheet metal, pipe systems, ductwork, and structural components. Duties
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques on diverse materials such as sheet metal, pipe, and structural steel.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Use precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure components meet exact specifications.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and rigging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate components for construction projects including ductwork, piping systems, and structural frameworks following ASME codes & standards.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and schematics to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities; assist with rigging and mechanical assembly as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments with a strong focus on welding tasks.
- Expertise in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with <LOCATION> welding preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and rigging gear.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes such as pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing welding practices is highly desirable.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience with calipers and micrometers essential.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
