Experienced welder/fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced welder and fabricator to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills. This role involves working on various projects that require precision, knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The successful applicant will contribute to the creation and assembly of high-quality metal components, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on a variety of materials, including sheet metal and specialised metals, adhering to technical specifications and safety protocols
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication processes
• Work with sheet metal to cut, shape, and assemble parts with precision and attention to detail
• Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to ensure accurate fabrication
• Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into final products or structures
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times during fabrication activities

Experience

• Must have atleast 2 years experience
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding machinery
• Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
• Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, or other metals is preferred
• Prior experience in a similar manufacturing or construction environment is advantageous
