The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Experiential Graphic Designer to help shape projects from strategic concepts to implementation, collaborating across disciplines and studios to translate client brand visions into compelling print, digital, and spatial experiences. This is a full-time position with a reduced schedule requiring a minimum of 24 hours per week.

In this role, you will support and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and will develop and present design concepts to internal teams and clients, while producing final production file for print, web, environmental graphics, and signage and wayfinding.

What You'll Do

  • Support projects from strategy and programming through design, production, implementation, and construction administration (if applicable).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across studios to develop innovative, brand-driven solutions that enhance user experience.
  • Support project teams and clients to define vision, goals, and functional needs—leading or supporting discovery, research, and synthesis to inform tailored design strategies.
  • Manage coordination of smaller projects through proactive communication, maintaining schedules, budgets, and alignment with clients and consultants.
  • Develop design concepts and layouts for wayfinding, brand identity, and information design—integrating storytelling into the built environment, collateral, or digital applications to create a strong sense of brand.
  • Produce production-ready artwork and files for print, digital, and environmental graphics.
  • Prepare comprehensive signage design intent documentation, including key plans, message schedules, elevations, design details, and material/finish specifications.
  • Review and provide feedback on shop drawings, mock-ups, and material samples in coordination with fabricators and partners.
  • Contribute to creative dialogue, client presentations, and overall project excellence.
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant design and multimedia software.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, experiential graphic design (EGD), or a related discipline; or at least 7 years of relevant architecture, EGD, or exhibit design experience.
  • Strong understanding of three-dimensional brand solutions, wayfinding strategies, and graphic design practices including expertise in messaging, typography, color, imagery, materiality, fabrication techniques, and detailing.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), and elevations, with a solid grasp of scale, signage, and architectural materials and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of EGD constructability, materials, and best practices to create innovative, achievable design solutions.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and Google SketchUp (or equivalent 2D/3D drafting and modeling software) is preferred but not required.
