Job Summary

Duties
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to ensure accurate assessments.
- Support physicians and nurses with clinical procedures like medication administration, wound care, X-ray preparation, and basic life support during emergencies.
- Perform EHR (Electronic Health Record) data entry accurately, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to facilitate seamless documentation.
- Conduct patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-visit instructions to promote health literacy.
- Manage medical supplies inventory and prepare examination rooms for outpatient visits or inpatient procedures within hospital or clinic settings.
- Support hospital medicine units such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric ICU), or Geriatrics with specialized patient care tasks.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures in dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine departments, including X-ray setup and basic physiology assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in Level I and Level II trauma centers or Level I trauma hospitals to ensure rapid response during emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies while delivering compassionate patient service in outpatient or inpatient environments.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient assessment and treatment.
- Proven experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or emergency medicine environments with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure.
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems for documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and medical records management.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, X-ray assistance, and basic life support certification.
- Familiarity with dermatology procedures, Geriatrics care protocols, medical-surgical practices, and internal medicine workflows.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including pediatric (PICU), adult inpatient units, and geriatric patients.
- Knowledge of hospital experience standards related to Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers for emergency preparedness.
- Strong organizational skills for managing intake processes, maintaining supplies inventory, and supporting documentation accuracy.
