Expo/Food Runner/Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Expo/Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Expo plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, enhancing overall guest experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hot and cold food orders promptly from the kitchen to dining tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing.
• Support servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and attending to guest needs to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness in the service area, including clearing plates and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing when required.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food delivery and address any special dietary requests or modifications.
• Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly and adhering to sanitation protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service flow during busy periods.
• Assist with banquet or special event setups if necessary, providing guest services that exceed expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus.
• Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide excellent guest services.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; availability for shifts that may include banquet events or large parties is desirable.
