Export Business Development Lead

Role Description:


Relationship management with customers focus:

  • Maintain and operationally manage profitable, trustful, long-term, professional relationships with existing customer base (predominantly based in Europe), e.g., wholesalers, retailers, DIY chains, etc. (mostly European-based)
  • Develop future market opportunities and new customer relations. Coordination of complex, international, multi-country-based customers – direct B-to-B or via intermediate dealers.
  • Initiation, product design (including packaging, labelling requirements); Verification of financial feasibility; cost & pricing, preparation and follow-up of offers, quotations, negotiations, contracts. 
  • Ensuring fulfilment of orders and delivery on time.
  • Strong interface with production and logistics.


Job Requirements:


  • An academic degree in engineering, international education is a plus 
  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a similar function (EXPORT / white-label business), gained in a sizable multinational or national Egypt-based production company with technical products, ideally in building supplies. Experience in Sanitary Ware is a huge plus.
  • Experience in direct relationship management with international/European customers, in dealing with complex international, European customers’ requirements (regarding products, contracts, processes, delivery) and short cycles from tender to delivery.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Successful track record and ability to build and maintain trusting long-term relationships with international partners.
  • Strong commercial understanding, experience, and familiar with offering/tendering processes, quotations, and negotiations.
  • Strong technical understanding of products; familiar with the feasibility of product development/customization and close interface with production.
  • Financial and P&L understanding with clear profitability focus (cost, pricing, margins, etc.). 
  • Knowledge of logistics and legal aspects/contracts
  • Highly energetic, self-motivated, independent, positive, and fully committed to customer satisfaction. Performance and results orientation; track record of meeting ambitious plans and deadlines; ability to manage conflicting priorities with limited resources.
  • Experience with MS Office applications
  • Fluent in English (as daily business language), 2nd language a plus
