Senior Export Documentation expert needed for our own government certified Export House MegaVick Wear, to independently manage end-to-end export documentation and compliance for international shipments. The role requires strong knowledge of Indian export regulations, coordination with logistics partners, and liaison with banks and government bodies.
Key Responsibilities (10+ Years Experience)
- End-to-End Documentation Management: Oversee all pre-shipment (orders, packing lists, etc.) and post-shipment (shipping documents, proof of export) processes.
- Trade Compliance & Regulations: Ensure strict adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, and country-specific requirements, including DGFT, Exchange Control, and duty drawbacks.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central point for buyers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, banks, and customs for smooth operations.
- Document Preparation & Review: Prepare/verify complex documents: Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Certificates of Origin, LC documents, etc..
- Logistics Oversight: Coordinate with logistics for timely cargo movement, track shipments, and resolve issues like demurrage.
- Export Incentives: Manage documentation for export benefits (like duty drawbacks, SEZ, EPCG).
- Process Improvement: Identify efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve documentation workflows.
- Risk Management: Mitigate risks related to documentation errors that cause shipment delays or penalties.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of Indian export procedures & regulations
- Hands-on experience with apparel / textile exports
- Familiarity with INCOTERMS, HS codes, and customs procedures
- Experience handling LCs and bank documentation
- Proficient in MS Office and export documentation systems
- High attention to detail and strong coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate / Post-graduate in Commerce, Logistics, or International Trade
- Experience working with a Government-Certified Export House
- Knowledge of international buyer compliance requirements
