Export Freight Forward Operations Specialist – Air & Ocean

Services include distribution, warehousing, and multimodal freight handling via road, rail, air, and ocean. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• CARGOWISE system experience a plus
• Obtain and compare quotations from airlines, ocean carriers, and trucking companies
• Prepare customer rate quotes and proposals
• Book International shipments with air and ocean cargo carriers
• Transmit AES filings
• Be compliance oriented with TSA, FMC, and other U.S. government regulations
• Prepare and issue key shipping documents (e-AWB, Bill of Lading, Dock Receipt, etc.)
• Send pre-alerts and dispatch documents via international courier when needed
• Process accurate billing for shipments in a timely manner
• Experience with Fish & Wildlife export requirement a plus
• Familiarity with CTPAT a plus
• Manage full-cycle shipment files (A to Z)
• Management potential a plus

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of air and ocean export freight forwarding experience
• Solid understanding of export documentation and U.S. export regulations
• Strong ability to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Hazardous material, air and ocean certifications required, which we provide to qualified applicants

Projected Total Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
