- Strategy and planning: Develop and execute international sales plans, strategies, and policies to increase market share and profitability.
- Sales and business development: Drive top-line growth by acquiring new customers, managing international client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.
- Logistics and compliance: Ensure all export operations comply with international laws and regulations, including managing documentation, customs, and shipping processes.
- Market analysis: Monitor the competitive landscape, market trends, and the supply-demand scenario to inform strategic decisions.
- Team and channel management: Build and maintain a strong network of international channel partners, and manage the field force.
Required skills and experience
- Proven experience in export sales, preferably within the food or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of import/export regulations, Incoterms, and shipping procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Experience with sales tools like CRM software to track and manage performance.
- Strategic and analytical thinking to develop effective sales and marketing plans.
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is often required, with an MBA being a plus.
