Full-Time | International Travel Required
We are a growing British lighting brand specializing in high-quality LED lighting solutions for commercial, architectural, hospitality, residential, and infrastructure projects.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Export Manager to expand our presence across the Middle East, North Africa, and selected Central African markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing distribution networks, appointing agents and partners, building relationships with consultants and specifiers, and driving sustainable sales growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute export sales strategies across assigned territories.
- Identify and appoint distributors, agents, and channel partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Achieve annual sales and growth targets.
Consultant & Specification Sales
- Promote the brand and product portfolio to MEP consultants, lighting designers, architects, developers, and project stakeholders.
- Secure product specifications in commercial, hospitality, residential, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct product presentations, seminars, and technical training sessions.
Market Development
- Identify new market opportunities across the Middle East, North Africa, and selected Central African countries.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Develop strategic market penetration plans.
Export & Channel Management
- Manage distributor and agent performance.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing structures.
- Support partners with sales, technical, and marketing activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
Travel & Representation
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
- Conduct regular market visits to support partners and develop new business opportunities.
- Travel approximately 6 international business trips per year, with each trip typically lasting up to two weeks.
RequirementsEssential
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the LED lighting industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in export sales, international business development, or regional sales management.
- Proven track record of developing export markets and achieving sales targets.
- Experience working with distributors, agents, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of specification sales and project-based selling.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred
- Existing network within the lighting, electrical, construction, or building services sectors in the Middle East and Africa.
- Experience working with British, European, or international lighting brands.
- Knowledge of lighting standards and specifications.
- Additional language skills (Arabic and/or French) would be advantageous.
Travel Requirements
This position requires frequent international travel.
Applicants should:
- Hold a passport that permits relatively unrestricted international business travel.
- Be able and willing to travel across the Middle East, North Africa, and selected African markets.
- Be comfortable spending approximately 12 weeks per year travelling internationally.
Pay: QAR12,000.00 - QAR15,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
