Job summary
The Export Sales Executive is responsible for developing and executing international sales strategies to expand the company's market presence and achieve export revenue targets. This role requires a professional with a proven track record in international sales, exceptional negotiation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of global trade regulations and logistics.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategy and business development:
  • Formulate and implement strategic plans to drive the growth of export sales in new and existing international markets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, monitor market trends, and assess competitor activities.
  • Develop and manage the annual export sales budget and forecast.
  • Client and partner management:
  • Identify, target, and acquire new international clients, distributors, and agents.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Negotiate sales contracts, pricing, and payment terms with international partners.
  • Operations and compliance:
  • Oversee the entire export process, including coordinating shipments, logistics, and customs clearance.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary export documentation, such as invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure strict compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as logistics, finance, and procurement, to ensure seamless and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Sales reporting and analysis:
  • Track and analyze export sales performance against targets, and provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
  • Proactively resolve issues and troubleshoot problems that may arise during the export process.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or a postgraduate diploma in Export Management is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in international sales or export management, preferably within a trading firm environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, logistics, Incoterms, and export documentation.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across different cultures.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to attend trade shows and meet with clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
