To prosper as a Extended Functions Dental Assistant, you should have:

  • At least 2 years of continuous experience (lead experience preferred)
  • Dental Assistant Certification or Associate’s degree in a Dental Assisting program
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in cosmetic and restorative dentistry preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast -paced, patient focused environment
  • Experience with Eaglesoft is a plus

More about your role as a Extended Functions Dental Assistant:

  • Prepare patients for dental work and deliver a high-quality, patient-centered experience
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments, setting up trays for procedures including fillings, cleanings, root canals, extractions, crown and bridge work, and dental implants
  • Assist chairside with advanced procedures, including cosmetic treatments, implant placements, oral surgery, and endodontic therapy
  • Collect and record medical and dental history

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support inventory management and clinical ordering, ensuring the office stays fully stocked and efficient
  • Help maintain a well-organized back office and smooth daily operations
  • Contribute to a high-end patient experience, especially for cosmetic and restorative cases

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PRP/PRF (blood draws) is a plus
  • Background in a technology-driven or high-end dental practice preferred
