Duties

• Conduct comprehensive periodontal examinations, including patient assessment and medical history review
• Diagnose periodontal conditions such as gum disease, periodontitis, and other soft tissue issues using advanced dental imaging and clinical evaluation
• Develop personalized treatment plans that may include scaling and root planing, periodontal surgery, laser therapy, or other minimally invasive procedures
• Perform dental procedures related to periodontal therapy with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques
• Collaborate with general dentists to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including pre- and post-operative instructions
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, disease prevention strategies, and treatment options to promote long-term oral health
• Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans clearly to patients and team members
• Ensure infection control standards are rigorously followed during all procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment
• Stay current with advancements in periodontics by participating in continuing education opportunities
