External Purchasing Operations and Logistics Executive

AKSA, a company of Akkök Holding, was founded in 1968 in Yalova. Becoming the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber over the years, Aksa today serves approximately 300 customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Having a production capacity of 350.000 tons of acrylic fiber per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.

We are looking for a External Purchasing Operations and Logistics Executive to be assigned to the Commercial Operations, Foreign Trade and Logistics Department.

Qualities We Are Looking For;

• Graduating from Foreign Trade, International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration or related departments of universities that provide education,

• At least 5 years of experience in import and export operations,

• General knowledge of customs, foreign trade and logistics legislation, and in particular YYS (AEO), logistics cost and tender management processes, and Inward Processing Legislation,

• Proficient in ERP and foreign trade systems (experience with SAP, Oracle, etc. is preferred),

• Components of logistics planning and cost analysis,

• Developing problem solving, process management, and crisis management skills,

• Ability to facilitate work and facilitate effective scheduling,

• Strong communication skills, results-oriented skills, and analytical thinking skills in team management,

• Ability to increase process efficiency and scope through digital applications by following new developments and technologies in Foreign Trade and logistics operations,

• Fluent in English to communicate with international stakeholders.

Your main tasks are;

• Conducting purchasing and import operations in accordance with legal regulations and company objectives, ensuring integrated process flow within the supply chain,

• Ensuring effective communication with customs brokers, logistics companies, transporters, suppliers, and internal customers,

• Organizing the delivery of contracted material orders to relevant suppliers for the factory's needs,

• Effective and efficient management of the process from import order to warehouse delivery of all contracted or spot-agreed materials,

• Organizing logistics needs, including price negotiation, and establishing contracts for all spot-agreement or contract-agreed logistics purchases for both import and export,

• Managing the planning, performance monitoring, and reporting of logistics processes (land, sea, air transportation) in an effective, timely, and cost-effective manner,

• Increasing the added value of domestic and international customers in both import and export operations by keeping up with new developments and technologies through digital applications,

• Monitoring current developments in foreign trade legislation and integrating them into supply chain processes,

• Conducting Inward Processing Permit (DIIB) application, tracking, closing, and revision processes, communicating with relevant institutions, and planning import/export processes in accordance with the documents,

• Ensuring the control and continuity of the YYS(AEO) process.
