Extrusion Manager

Alexandria Industries is seeking an experienced Extrusion Department Manager to lead our Indianapolis extrusion team. This role provides day‑to‑day leadership, supports employee development, and drives continuous improvement to ensure safety, quality, and operational excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor extrusion team members
• Promote a strong safety‑first culture
• Manage department budgets, schedules, and resources
• Support training, cross‑training, and performance development
• Identify improvement opportunities and support cost‑reduction efforts
• Partner with supervisors and other facilities to manage workflow and capacity
• Ensure extrusion quality meets company standards
• Participate in hiring and support project planning

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years manufacturing experience
• 5+ years aluminum extrusion experience
• 5+ years leadership experience
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and project management skills
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Blueprint reading and strong understanding of extrusion processes
