Extrusion Operator - Flexible Shift

In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring plastics extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic profiles and materials. Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastics extrusion equipment, ensuring optimal performance throughout the production cycle
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify product dimensions and tolerances
• Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues related to plastics extrusion processes and auxiliary equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on extrusion machinery.
• Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling techniques to ensure efficient workflow within the warehouse environment
• Conduct visual inspections of finished products for defects or inconsistencies, maintaining high standards of quality assurance
• Document production data, machine performance, and quality checks accurately for reporting and continuous improvement initiatives based on lean manufacturing principles

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with plastics extrusion processes in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing specifications
• Experience with quality inspection techniques using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and warehouse operations is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure product quality and process efficiency

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
