An Eye Counselor (or Patient Counselor/Vision Care Advisor) helps patients navigate their eye care journey by explaining diagnoses, treatments, surgeries (like cataract, LASIK), and costs; provides emotional support to reduce anxiety; acts as a liaison between patients and doctors for care coordination; and educates on pre/post-op care, medication, and lifestyle, ensuring clear communication and smooth patient flow. They also handle follow-ups, manage records, coordinate with other hospital staff, and sometimes assist with marketing and community outreach.
