Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform objective and subjective eye refraction to assess visual acuity
- Identify refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia)
- Operate refraction equipment accurately (auto-refractometer, phoropter, retinoscope)
- Record and maintain precise patient examination data
- Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and diagnostics
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and adherence to clinical protocols
Qualification Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry, Ophthalmic Technology, or a related field
- Valid registration/licensure (where applicable)
- Relevant clinical experience in eye refraction or ophthalmology setup preferred
- Knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and basic eye care procedures
- Good communication skills and patient-handling ability
