Eyewear Consultant

Private optometry office in Pleasant Hill seeking a talented optician/optical assistant, who is available to work 3-4 days per week to join our team. The ideal candidate has retail experience and enjoys helping patients, has excellent communication skills and is available to work on Saturdays . We prefer someone with optical experience. However, we are willing to train the right individual.

Responsibilities and Duties

Job duties include but are not limited to:

* Assisting patients with frame selections and styling

* Adjusting and repair glasses

* Front desk duties

* Pre-testing patients

* Contact lens training

* Billing insurance and knowledge of VSP a plus

* Other task as directed by doctor and manager

Qualifications:

* Strong knowledge of computers and ability to learn new software

* Willingness to cross train and learn different tasks

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Must be professional, outgoing, detail oriented and self-motivated team player
