Eyewear Sales Associate

Job Summary
Join our team as an Eyewear Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire customers to see the world more clearly! In this role, you'll be the friendly face guiding clients through their eyewear choices, providing exceptional service, and sharing your knowledge of optical products. Whether assisting with frame selections or explaining lens options, you'll play a key role in enhancing the visual health and style of every individual who walks through our doors.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and identify their eyewear needs through engaging conversations.
  • Educate clients on different types of eyewear, including prescription glasses, sunglasses, and specialty lenses.
  • Assist with frame fitting, adjustments, and demonstrating proper wear to ensure comfort and style.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products
  • Verify insurance eligibility and authorizations for materials
  • Process sales transactions accurately using retail systems while applying retail math skills for pricing and discounts.
  • Support inventory management by organizing stock and assisting with visual merchandising.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth customer experience
  • Any task that may be asked of you.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales experience with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Knowledge of optometry principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to vision care.
  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
  • Optical experience is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Ability to understand medical coding, billing procedures, and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of medical records.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse customers, including pediatrics and senior care populations.
  • Basic understanding of vital signs and aseptic techniques is beneficial for supporting clinical aspects of eyewear fitting or adjustments. Join us in transforming the way people see the world! Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
