About the School

Few schools anywhere in the world can claim to be genuinely rewriting the rulebook - this one can. Opened in September 2025, this ambitious British international school brings together the weight of a 500 year old educational legacy and the energy of a school determined to do things differently. Built in partnership with one of the UK's most celebrated independent institutions, it occupies a stunning, purpose built campus equipped with cutting edge facilities designed to inspire every learner who walks through the door.

The Early Years programme is anchored in the English Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, delivered through a rich tapestry of play based, child led experiences that honour the unique pace and curiosity of every young learner. Rather than rushing children towards outcomes, the philosophy here is to slow down, tune in, and create the conditions in which children can discover who they are and what they are capable of. The result is an Early Years environment that feels as joyful as it does purposeful.

Could This Be You?

This role will resonate with an Early Years practitioner who understands, at a fundamental level, that the first years of education are not simply a preparation for what comes next - they are extraordinary and valuable in their own right. You will be someone who listens as much as you lead, who crafts environments with real intentionality, and who finds genuine fulfilment in those quiet moments when a child makes a connection for the very first time. You are calm, creative, and deeply committed - and the idea of joining a school community that is still finding its shape, and leaving your mark on it, genuinely excites you.

Jeddah - A City Snapshot

Perched on the edge of the Red Sea, Jeddah is a city that surprises and delights in equal measure. Saudi Arabia's most cosmopolitan and forward thinking urban centre, it blends a richly layered history - including a UNESCO World Heritage old town - with a rapidly evolving contemporary identity. New restaurants, cultural venues, and leisure destinations are emerging all the time, and the city's waterfront is one of the most striking in the region. For international teachers, life here offers real quality - comfortable housing, a sociable expat community, easy access to the sea, and the extraordinary wider landscape of Saudi Arabia on the doorstep.

Required Qualifications
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a closely related subject
  • A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE) with an Early Years specialism - essential
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience within EYFS
  • A strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
  • Previous experience in an international school is desirable but not essential
Essential Skills
  • Skilled and imaginative delivery of the EYFS framework through play based, child centred pedagogy
  • A thorough understanding of early childhood development and the ability to translate careful observation into purposeful, individualised planning
  • A talent for designing learning environments - indoors and outdoors - that invite exploration, creativity, and independent thinking
  • Confident assessment practice, with the ability to track each child's journey and communicate progress meaningfully to families
  • An instinctive warmth and the ability to build the kind of trusting relationships that help very young children feel safe enough to flourish
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a particular sensitivity towards families navigating their child's first experience of school
  • A habit of honest reflection and a genuine appetite for professional learning and development
  • The cultural intelligence and adaptability to work with confidence in a diverse and international school community
  • A generous, collegiate spirit and a readiness to play an active part in school life beyond the classroom
Safeguarding Skills and Qualities

The welfare and safety of every student is the school's highest priority. All candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to safeguarding best practice in an international context. We are looking for professionals who:

  • Understand and uphold robust child protection policies and procedures
  • Communicate concerns clearly and act appropriately when a student's welfare may be at risk
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students at all times
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity in safeguarding contexts across different international settings
  • Are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every child

All successful applicants will be subject to thorough background checks, including references, verification of qualifications, and overseas criminal record checks in line with international safeguarding standards.
