Salary range: $165,500 - $180,000 DOE

Position Summary

This is a full-time position as a F-16 Simulator Instructor. As an F-16 Block 50 instructor and Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide academic training and instruction using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS), operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS), and will be a SME for all pilot training courseware updates. This position is typically represented by an experienced F-16 instructor pilot. This position's location is Thumrait, Oman and base housing is provided. Additional information will be provided to applicants selected to interview for this position.

Responsibilities

Instructs pilots in ground and flight procedures and techniques, prepares lesson plans. Act as a SME by applying advanced technical concepts in aviation and aid in creation of training material.

Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student. Evaluates and monitors students' performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ of relevant work experience.
  • Current or former F-16 Instructor Pilot.
  • Demonstrated 1000 hours minimum F-16 flight experience is required.
  • Demonstrated 1500 hours Fighter Flight Time in forth and/or fifth generation multi-role fighter aircraft.
  • Current or demonstrated experience as an USAF IP with multi-role fighter experience.
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.
  • An active current DoD Secret clearance; the Investigation or CV date within 5 years.

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Former Weapon School graduate desired.
  • Experience as an UPT/FTU instructor.
  • F-16C Block 40 or greater desired.

Work Authorization

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work OCONUS and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
  • Tactical Air Support is a DrugAlcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including marijuana) required.
  • Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required.
  • Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
  • May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
  • Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
  • Occasional travel to various work sites may be required.
