Supervises, inspects, troubleshoots,maintains, repairs, surveys and evaluates and accomplishes major aircraftstructural repairs. Troubleshoots structural repair situations, inspects repairoperations and completed repairs of plastic, fiber glass, metal and extendedaircraft structural components and supervises airframe repair activities.

1. Perform in-shop repairs, fabricate andmodifications of aircraft skins, panels, and structural components.

2. Fabricate aircraft tubing from diagramsor samples.

3. Make repairs with fiberglass on itemssuch as radomes and flight control surfaces.

4. Repair canopy fairings and polish canopyand windscreen surfaces when damaged.

5. Perform TCTO modifications on variousequipment.

6. Perform all types of flight-line repairsranging from screw removal to cracked skin repairs

7. Perform repairs and modification onnon-aircraft equipment.

Requirements

1. Must haveexperience in basic aircraft structural repairs and modification (F15 experiencepreferred).

2. Must be able toread and work from aircraft structural blueprints.

3.Possess skills in fabrication of aircrafttubing and perma-swedge repairs.

4. Operate andmaintain in shop fabrication equipment.

5. Repair andpolishing of canopy surfaces.

6. Must be able touse precision measuring devices.

7. Must have highmathematical ability and be able to accurately assess damage and repair action.

8. Must be able toperform any structural TCTO modification within specified time constraints.

9.Possess knowledge of sealants and adhesives.
