Platform Configuration: Establish baseline management networking infrastructure, including floating management IPs, DNS, NTP, and AAA/LDAP authentication.

Chassis Partitioning: Create and manage isolated chassis software partitions. Allocate blade resources, specify interfaces, and map high-availability (HA) requirements.

Tenant Deployment: Import tenant software images, configure VLANs, and provision specialized BIG-IP microservice instances.

Workload Migration: Plan and execute migrations of existing network workloads from legacy F5 VIPRION systems to VELOS-hosted virtual environments.

Module Management: Configure core traffic services inside individual tenants, including Local Traffic Manager (LTM), Global Traffic Manager (GTM/DNS), Access Policy Manager(APM) and Advanced WAF.

Performance Tuning: Optimize high-throughput Layer 4–7 traffic, SSL/TLS offloading parameters, and hardware accelerated encryption.

Documentation Delivery: Draft explicit High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), migration manifests, and configuration backups.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
F5 Core Technical Expertise

Proven engineering experience working with F5 VELOS CX-Series platforms or F5 rSeries appliances.

Deep configuration knowledge of F5OS (Chassis and Partition management layer) and its microservices-based architecture.

Hands-on experience deploying BIG-IP software modules (LTM, DNS/GTM, APM, Advanced WAF).

Strong scripting background writing advanced F5 iRules or Local Traffic Policies for data streams.
Networking & Systems Infrastructure

Mastery of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, L2/L3 routing, and VLAN trunking.

Familiarity with container orchestration concepts (Kubernetes, OpenShift) powering the internal chassis framework.

Expertise in traffic capture diagnostics using tcpdump, Wireshark, and native F5OS platform logging features.
Professional Experience & Certifications

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated network engineering or deployment experience focused directly on F5 solutions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
