Job Summary
The Manufacturing & Fabrication Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations in our fabrication department. This role is responsible for managing teams, optimizing workflows, maintaining quality control, and meeting production targets. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, technical expertise in metal fabrication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. compliance with safety and quality standards. Duties
- Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabrication and assembly personnel.
- Schedule production work orders and ensure on-time delivery.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Monitor production quality and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues; implement corrective actions.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and project managers to ensure seamless production.
- Maintain records of materials, labor, and production output.
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication
- Collaborate with management to develop production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, including Stick welding and FCAW, is essential.
- Familiarity with machining processes and plasma cutting techniques is advantageous.
- Experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement in production efficiency.
