UTS Engineering Ltd is a global specialist in the pipeline industry. We aim to provide quality, yet cost effective piping solutions within the shortest lead time. UTS Engineering provide pipe fitting, steel fabrication and under pressure drilling services, alongside a 24 hour emergency response.

Job Purpose

To lead and coordinate fabrication and welding operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise fabrication and welding teams on the shop floor

· Plan workloads, allocate resources, and monitor progress

· Ensure all work meets engineering drawings and specifications

· Maintain high standards of welding quality and fabrication accuracy

· Support and mentor welders and fabricators

· Ensure compliance with HSE and safe systems of work

· Conduct inspections and resolve technical or production issues

· Liaise with production, quality, and engineering teams

· Monitor materials, tools, and equipment availability

· Attend and contribute to operational, planning, and management meetings

Skills & Experience

· Strong background in fabrication and welding

· Previous supervisory or leadership experience

· Knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, MMA)

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

Qualifications (Desirable)

· NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Welding/Fabrication

· Welding certifications (e.g., coded welder qualifications)

· Supervisory or leadership training

Pay: £19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39.0 per week
