Fabrication Assistant

We are looking to add to our Production / Fabrication department with an individual that has a strong, detailed work ethic that is capable of multi-tasking and working in a team environment. This is a hands-on physical job, must have a minimum of two years fabrication or shop experience. Must have working knowledge of grinders, chop saws, ability to read basic and understand basic blue prints. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds unassisted. Working hours are M-F 8-5. After 6 months: 2 weeks paid time off, holiday pay, 401K with up to 4% matching and profit sharing. Very competitive pay and scheduling flexibility after probation.

Job Duties include (but not limited to):

• Perform cutting, jigging, preparation and finishing work on the manufactured components as necessary and directed and in accordance with our blueprints. Familiarity with tools such as grinders, chop saw, plasma cutters, sander, etc.
• Sanding, grinding, bead blasting and polishing of stainless and aluminum production parts in accordance with our procedures and standards.
• Must understand basic blueprint and measuring tools. Additional training can be provided.
• Ongoing development and improvement of our manufacturing facility.
• Ensuring that the shop and work areas are kept neat and orderly.
• Prolonged standing required. This is not a sit down job.
• Detail oriented, quality conscious person.
• Maintain a high level of safety for self and coworkers.
• Other duties as required.
• A practical skills assessment is required to be satisfactorily completed prior to job offer.
