Fabrication CNC Plasma Operator

Summary:

This position runs the CNC plasma cutter machine to cut out production parts needed for fabrication shop assembly. Some parts fabrication needed and some limited welding as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operates CNC plasma cutter machine with proficiency and efficiency

Sets up, programs, and operates machine to cut metal parts according to blueprints as required.

Assists fab shop employees with tasks for production.

Stocks and supplies parts and materials as needed for production needs.

Operates shears, press breaks, band saws, and other machinery as required for production jobs.

Operates forklift truck, moving material & parts to required areas.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Advanced manufacturing skills/degree from community college preferred.

Must possess strong verbal and listening communication skills.

Should maintain a positive attitude, with a focus on customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Need ability to multi-task and manage time effectively by setting priorities.

Should have a strong sense of situational awareness to work safely & prioritize tasks.

A willingness and desire to learn about products made & sold, customer service, policies & procedures, and the trucking industry.

Should be self-starter, focused, and goal driven.

Skills preferred: MIG Welding, Shears & Press Brake Operations, Advance Manufacturing skills a plus!

Shift:

Mon-Thurs: 7:45am-5 pm, Fri: 8am – noon.
