Fabrication Manager

The Fabrication Manager position is responsible for supervising and training fabrication personnel, overseeing the manufacture and quality control of all equipment and parts, managing part orders and work orders, and implementing equipment process instructions. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

• Good general math and trigonometry
• Ability to interpret manufacturing routing forms
• Good hands-on mechanical ability
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working with metal fabrication
• Hands-on working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
• Three years minimum supervisory experience
• Ten years of experience working with people with a positive disposition, well-mannered, and professional

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote excellence throughout the department
• Responsible and accountable for shop organization, cleanliness, and quality
• Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing facility
• Supervise the activities of manufacturing to obtain optimum productivity and accuracy
• Continuous improvement is expected in all critical activities
• Job, work order, and parts order scheduling
• Assist in the development and implementation of fixtures and fixture kits for existing and new products
• Maintain a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention
• to health and safety
• Interface with other manufacturing departments, engineering, purchasing, processing, shipping, and sales

• Attend all scheduled meetings as required
• An active member of the manufacturing problem-solving teamFull-time | Pay:
