Fabricator Role

Description.

This is a permanent position for a Fabricator located at Halfway House, Shrewsbury. They will be responsible for reading technical drawings, preparing components, assembling and welding parts, and performing quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications, drawings and UKCA criteria. The role also involves maintaining tools and equipment, keeping the work area clean and organized, and collaborating with team members to meet production timelines.

Key duties and Responsibilities

• Fabrication and material handling skills, including the ability to interpret assembly and technical drawings
• Experience in high amp welding, metal cutting, and the use of tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines, strong ability to multitask
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Carry out all duties in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Recording of quality check sheets for UKCA audits

Desired Skills and Experience

• MIG Welding experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Work safely in a busy environment.
• Current UK driving license essential.
• Abrasive wheels certificate.
• Forklift truck licence preferred.
• Overhead crane licence preferred.
