Fabricator Welder

Job Summary
We are seeking a time served skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques, including TIG and MIG welding, working with stainless steel, non-ferrous & ferrous materials and be fully conversant in light to medium fabrications using both hand and power tools to assemble components according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
• Fabricate components from sheet metal, following detailed drawings and specifications.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
• You will be able to take measurements/mark out, drill/cut materials to size by burning, disc cutting or by machine
• You will need experience in metal dressing to a high standard (grinding, sanding and polishing.)
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
• Demonstrate basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding, particularly with TIG and MIG methods.
• Strong fabrication skills with a focus on sheet metal work and light fabrications.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication process.
• Solid mechanical knowledge to understand assembly processes and equipment functionality.
• Basic mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
