Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality signs that meet strict industry standards and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Interpret schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal, aluminum and steel.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications.
- Read tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances during fabrication.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling, lifting, and positioning heavy components within manufacturing areas.
- Follow safety protocols aligned with ASME codes & standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing facilities involving fabrication or welding tasks.
- Proficiency in MIG welding processes; experience with laser welding is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including tapping and assembly techniques.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for fabrication work.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
