Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of architectural, secondary and structural metalworks such as staircases, balustrades, steelwork etc with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong experience in the fabrication and welding processeses. Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to specifications.
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions, materials, and assembly procedures.
- Conduct basic measurements using tape measures other measuring devices to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring welds meet industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise fabrication processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication within a manufacturing or workshop setting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong understanding of metal work and assembly processes.
- knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding and metalworking environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant certifications in welding or fabrication are advantageous but not essential. This role requires a dedicated individual who takes pride in producing precise work while maintaining high safety standards.
