Fabricator/Welder

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all work meets quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding. The position involves working with sheet metal, assembly of parts, and using a range of hand and power tools to produce high-quality metal structures and components.

Responsibilities

• Perform mig welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal, to precise specifications.
• Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes.
• Operate hand tools such as grinders, drills, and saws safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mig welding and general fabrication work.
• Proficiency in welding techniques specific to standards.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working processes.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Experience with assembly processes is desirable but not essential.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£20.40 per hour
