Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, contributing to the production of high-quality products. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform TIG welding, as well as other welding techniques suitable for UK welding standards, ensuring strong and accurate welds.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Fabricate parts from metal and other materials according to specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in assembly processes where required, ensuring components fit correctly and meet project deadlines.
- Operate mechanical equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Solid knowledge of welding principles, mechanical systems, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and basic mathematical measurements.
- Experience with assembly processes is desirable but not essential.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with attention to detail is essential for producing high-quality work.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications in welding or fabrication are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: £12.29-£20.42 per hour
