The Facade Engineer in a contracting company is responsible for the execution, coordination, and installation of facade systems on-site. The role bridges design and construction, ensuring that facade works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and as per approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and facade design packages
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and facade subcontractors
• Manage shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
• Oversee fabrication and installation of facade systems:
• Curtain walls
• Aluminum cladding
• Glass systems
• Louvers and architectural features
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and local authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality)
• Monitor site progress and ensure alignment with project schedule
• Conduct inspections and ensure QA/QC procedures are followed
• Coordinate and witness facade performance testing:
• Water tightness
• Air infiltration
• Structural performance (mock-up testing)
• Identify and resolve site issues, RFIs, and technical challenges
• Coordinate with procurement for material delivery and approvals
• Ensure HSE compliance during facade installation

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• UAE: 5 years (Preferred)
