Facade Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for leading and executing all façade works, including curtain wall systems, glazing, aluminum systems, cladding, and architectural envelope elements. The role involves full technical ownership of façade installation activities, from shop drawing review and material planning to site execution, testing, quality control, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full technical and operational control of façade execution works on site
• Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and structural calculations before commencement
• Lead in-house façade engineering coordination with structural, architectural, and MEP teams
• Prepare façade method statements, installation procedures, and risk assessments
• Plan and sequence façade installation activities in coordination with project planning team
• Manage direct workforce including engineers, supervisors, installers, and access teams
• Oversee installation of:

o Curtain wall systems (unitized and stick systems)

o Structural glazing and skylights

o Aluminum doors and windows

o ACP cladding and architectural metal panels

o Stone cladding and dry fixing systems

o Louvers and façade shading systems

• Ensure correct fixing of embeds, brackets, anchors, and support systems as per structural requirements
• Monitor tolerances, verticality, alignment, expansion gaps, and thermal movement allowances
• Ensure proper integration of façade with waterproofing, roofing, concrete structure, and MEP penetrations
• Supervise glass installation including suction lifting, panel alignment, and safety compliance
• Conduct and witness façade performance tests (water penetration, hose test, air infiltration)
• Identify and resolve technical issues such as leakage, sealant failure, misalignment, and deflection
• Ensure compliance with wind load design requirements and façade structural integrity
• Manage façade material logistics, storage, and protection on site
• Monitor productivity and ensure façade works are delivered as per project schedule
• Lead snagging, rectification, and final façade handover process
• Support DLP and post-handover façade defect rectification

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering
• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, curtain wall engineering, glazing technology, and cladding systems
• 12 or more years of experience in façade works, with at least 3 years as a façade manager in UAE.
