Facade Project Engineer

The Facade Project Engineer is responsible for managing façade works across design, engineering, and site execution phases. The role requires hands-on experience in UAE projects, ensuring compliance with local authority standards, project specifications, and quality requirements while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and façade design details
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients for approvals and technical coordination
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Abu Dhabi Municipality)
• Supervise façade installation including curtain wall, cladding, glazing, and aluminum systems
• Monitor site progress, productivity, and subcontractor performance
• Conduct inspections and ensure QA/QC procedures are followed
• Coordinate façade testing (mock-up, water tightness, air infiltration, structural performance)
• Identify design discrepancies and propose technical solutions
• Manage material submittals, method statements, and RFIs
• Coordinate with procurement for materials and suppliers
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture
• Minimum 5 years of façade engineering experience in the UAE
• Proven experience in high-rise or large-scale façade projects
• Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems, unitized systems, stick systems, and cladding materials
• Familiarity with international standards (ASTM, BS, EN) and UAE regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage

• Experience in façade mock-up testing and lab coordination
• Valid UAE driving license (often preferred for site roles)
