Facade Structure Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facade Structural Engineer to design, analyze, and oversee façade systems for high-rise and complex building projects. The role involves ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with international standards while coordinating with architects, consultants, and façade contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and structural analysis of façade systems including unitized, stick, curtain wall, cladding, glazing, aluminum, GRC, and steel sub-frames
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and load analysis (wind, seismic, dead & live loads)
• Review architectural drawings and develop façade structural solutions
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international codes (BS, EN, ASTM, AISC, Eurocode)
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and site execution
• Conduct site inspections and resolve structural or constructability issues
• Liaise with third-party checkers and consultants when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 5–10 years experience in façade engineering (high-rise projects preferred)
• Strong knowledge of façade materials, fixing systems, and anchoring methods
• Experience in the Middle East façade market is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Structural analysis software: ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, Robot
• Façade engineering tools and spreadsheets
• Proficient in AutoCAD, knowledge of Revit is an advantage
• Strong understanding of façade testing (mock-up, performance testing)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities
• Ability to work under tight project deadlines
