FM Foreman – Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance technicians and subcontractors.
- Monitor and ensure completion of scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Allocate tasks and provide technical guidance to team members across disciplines (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Inspect building systems, equipment, and facilities for proper functioning and report defects.
- Coordinate and monitor work orders through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, material usage, and staff attendance.
- Liaise with clients, tenants, and management regarding maintenance concerns and updates.
- Assist in preparing material requests and maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Participate in technical troubleshooting and hands-on support when required.
- Report incidents, faults, and other significant issues to the Facilities Engineer/Supervisor.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or trade certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
- Good understanding of building services systems (MEP, HVAC, etc.).
- Familiar with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, CAFM).
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of HSE regulations and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
