First Bankers Trust Company is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities & Grounds Specialist to support the maintenance, upkeep, and operational needs of multiple branch locations. This role is responsible for building maintenance, grounds care, inter-branch courier services, and coordination with third-party vendors to ensure bank facilities remain safe, functional, and professional in appearance.

The Facilities & Grounds Specialist is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of bank facilities and grounds across multiple branch locations. This role involves general building maintenance, grounds upkeep, and inter-branch courier services to ensure efficient daily operations and a professional environment for customers and employees.
Pick up and deliver mail between branch locations and the Post Office on a daily schedule
Coordinate weekly inter-branch mail deliveries to outlying locations
Ensure timely and secure handling of internal and external correspondence
Perform general building repairs including minor plumbing, painting, carpentry, and fixture replacement
Change light bulbs and maintain interior and exterior lighting
Maintain HVAC filters at branch locations
Assemble office furniture and perform minor office equipment repairs (desks, drawers, cabinets)
Change lobby clocks and adjust seasonal décor as needed
Drill and rekey safety deposit boxes, including lock changes and key management
Make and manage keys for various locks
Grounds & Exterior Maintenance
Maintain branch grounds including weed control, shrub trimming, litter removal, and lot maintenance
Blow off parking lots and maintain exterior appearance of all properties
Paint parking lot striping and perform minor exterior painting
Salt sidewalks during winter months
Ensure exterior lighting is operational in coordination with vendors
Seasonal Responsibilities
Inspect and maintain parking lot lighting
Install and remove seasonal decorations
Salt sidewalks and ensure safe winter access
Work with third-party vendors including lawn care, HVAC, plumbing, and other service providers
Coordinate facility service needs and support maintenance scheduling
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check
Prior facilities maintenance, groundskeeping, or building maintenance experience preferred
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
Ability to operate basic maintenance tools and equipment
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Ability to lift and move materials up to 100 pounds
Strong reliability, time management, and independent work ethic
This position requires frequent travel between branch locations. While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to work indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal weather conditions and be capable of physical activity including lifting up to 100 pounds, bending, standing, and walking.
