Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes of issues.
- Operate specialized tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, precision measuring instruments, and welding equipment to execute repairs accurately.
- Maintain facility infrastructure including HVAC/R systems, low voltage electrical circuits, high voltage systems, and building utilities.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Conduct building maintenance activities involving the use of scissor lifts and other industrial equipment to access hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime by providing quick response maintenance support and technical assistance.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while working with high voltage systems or in confined spaces; ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs or modifications.
- Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on equipment maintenance or upgrades when needed.
Experience
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems; familiarity with industrial electrician practices is essential. Journeyman Electrician highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, plumbing, welding, and schematics interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools effectively.
- Experience with Maintenance Management software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial maintenance including lockout/tagout procedures for high-voltage equipment.
- Ability to work in field service roles using equipment like scissor lifts safely while maintaining excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills are advantageous for diverse team communication.
