Essential Job Functions

As a Facilities Assistant I, you'll support the overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our building and production areas. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleans all DMS lunchrooms multiple times a day.
• Ensures spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying trash, vacuuming, etc.
• Sweeps and mops up spills on the production floor.
• Reports any damage to tables, chairs, walls, or other areas of the building to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager (FMM).
• Immediately reports any safety concerns to the Training & Safety Manager.
• Undertakes occasional seasonal tasks, such as shoveling snow from the sidewalk, setting up chairs and tables, etc.
• Operates pallet jacks to move supplies, inventory, etc., in support of a safe work environment.
• Acts as the main point of contact for vendors and shipments for production and facilities.
• Regularly checks the front reception area and Eastside package drop-off area for deliveries and ensures they are delivered in a timely manner to the appropriate recipients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 6 months to 1 year related experience and basic knowledge of production
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a range of projects and prioritize tasks
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to work outside of regular business hours
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to maintain a safe work environment
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a drug screening test

The Fine Print

• Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Physical Requirements: Includes standing, lifting, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs (equipment assistance available)
• Overtime: May be required based on business needs
