Facilities/ Custodial Associate

We are looking for an associate who specializes in Custodial/Facilities Personnel to join our team and help clean charter schools. A successful candidate's responsibilities will include supporting a single, multi-story school building, and ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day facility operations. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently, maintain system compliance, and time management and uphold a professional demeanor with school staff and students. Ultimately, you will ensure cleaning and maintaining all common areas in the building, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc are done in a timely fashion.

• Daily cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows and restrooms
• Deep Cleaning during Holidays/breaks, waxing, and building furniture
• School movement projects
• Cleaning and maintaining all common areas in the building, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc
• Maintaining stock of supplies in all restrooms and closets
• Removes waste and transports outside
• Respond to facilities related requests from staff in a prompt and courteous manner
• Perform special projects during school breaks that may require heavy lifting (up to 40 pounds), light repair, and deep cleaning of school spaces.
• Upkeep school exterior including sweeping, trash and recycling collection and disposal, and snow removal as needed.
• Inspect, clean, disinfect, and stock bathrooms on a daily basis

• Proven experience as a school custodian/ janitor or similar role
• Excellent organizational skills
• Conflict management abilities
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced work environment
• High school diploma/GED preferred

Job Type: Full-time (anywhere from 6am-5pm); Part time (6-10p)

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
