Facilities Engineer (Engineer in Charge) – Arabic National

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Facilities Engineer (Engineer in Charge) to lead the facilities operations and maintenance functions across our properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance of all building systems while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Facilities Engineer (Engineer in Charge) will manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and technical performance of all facilities, covering mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines . The role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve high standards of reliability and efficiency.

• Oversee and direct all facilities management and maintenance activities , including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil systems .
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure operational continuity.
• Supervise and mentor engineering and technical staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations .
• Manage contractors, service providers, and vendors , ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost control.
• Oversee civil maintenance , including structural works, finishes, and external infrastructure.
• Monitor operational budgets and prepare periodic financial and technical reports for management review.
• Provide technical evaluations, root-cause analysis, and recommendations for asset enhancement and system optimization.
• Support fit-out, refurbishment, and upgrade projects , ensuring proper coordination and execution.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all maintenance activities and assets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in facilities management or property maintenance , including at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role .
• Proven technical knowledge in HVAC, MEP systems, and building infrastructure .
• Demonstrated experience in managing multi-site facilities and diverse engineering teams .
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE building codes, HSE standards, and regulatory compliance .
